Network Rail. Simpler, better, greener
Role: Graphic Designer. Agency: Storycatchers
Context
Network Rail launched Simpler Better Greener. as its internal brand story to support the CP7 strategy and provide a shared direction during a period of organisational change. The campaign needed to live across a wide range of formats and environments, reaching a large, distributed workforce in a way that felt consistent, clear and visible at scale.
I worked on the project as a graphic designer, responsible for designing and rolling out a broad range of campaign assets within the established creative direction. My role focused on translating the campaign into practical, usable outputs across print, digital and physical spaces. This included producing multiple asset types and variations, adapting layouts and formats while maintaining consistency with the core visual system.
Delivering at scale
The campaign was deployed across offices, operational sites and internal communication channels, requiring designs that worked in very different contexts and at different sizes. I supported this rollout by ensuring assets were clear, legible and robust, whether viewed on screens, in printed materials or as large-format displays. Attention to detail and consistency was critical to avoid visual drift as the campaign expanded.
As part of the rollout, I helped create a toolkit of downloadable template assets that internal teams could use to produce their own communications. The templates were designed to be easy to adapt while staying consistent with the agency-created campaign materials, allowing teams to respond quickly and create content locally without compromising visual quality or coherence.
Outcome
The work helped bring the Simpler, better, greener story into everyday visibility across the organisation, supporting internal communications through a cohesive and recognisable visual presence.
This project demonstrates my ability to work within defined brand frameworks, deliver reliably at volume and contribute to large-scale internal programmes where clarity and consistency are essential.
